Students from several schools have attended a climate change protest in Donegal today.

Spearheaded by Conal O'Boyle, a Buncrana secondary school student who is from Muff, the protest was staged at the Market Square in Letterkenny.

More protests like this are planned.

O'Boyle is one of the youngest yet most high-profile climate activists in Donegal, and he attracted national media attention at the MacGill Summer School in Glenties during the summer where he got a standing ovation and applause for his speech in which he rounded on Environment Minister Richard Bruton and government policies on climate change.
