Conwal Parish Church, Restoration Fund

Conwal Parish Church is the oldest building in Letterkenny with the tower, dating back to 1636, currently in the process of major restoration work, the estimated cost of which is in the region of €100,000. Conwal Parish has a strong community ethos with a lot of different clubs and organisations using the church and hall. Under the Heritage Act there is a duty of care to preserve this beautiful building for those that use it now but also to ensure that it will be kept in the condition it deserves for future generations to enjoy and treasure.

Letterkenny Branch of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland

The Letterkenny Branch of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland provides learning support through the medium of reading, writing, phonics etc. for school going children from the ages of 8-18. For almost 20 years a class has been run each Monday night during the Academic School Year in the Letterkenny Institute of Technology. The funding will support lower income families to get their child physiologically assessed to get them resource help at school and also support their costs whilst attending the classes. We would also like to try and develop the possibility of using I-Pads in our classroom environment.
