The House of Bishops, at its meeting in Dublin yesterday (Wednesday, 18th September), confirmed the appointment of the Ven Andrew Forster, Archdeacon of Ardboe, as Bishop-designate of the United Dioceses of Derry and Raphoe.

His consecration is planned for Sunday, 8th December, at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh.

Archdeacon Andrew Forster was elected Bishop of Derry and Raphoe by the Episcopal Electoral College on Thursday, 29th August. He succeeds the Rt Revd Ken Good who retired in May of this year.
